mission leader's training programme

thumbs up to mission

iMPACT runs it's own Mission Leaders Training Programme (MLTP). This is a two year course that trainees can begin each Autumn, and consists of 3 weekends each year.

The first weekend is a residential training weekend, around November, and would include seminars such as: Children's Work, Youth Work, All-age Mission, Worship, Bible Study, Communicating Your Faith, Partnership and Mission, Leadership, and Mission Theology.

For the second weekend, trainees are grouped in two's or three's and are given the task of planning and delivering a weekend mission. Trainees are assigned to do this with a host church that is experienced in mission activities. This placement weekend normally occurs in the Spring with a date agreed upon between the trainees and the host church.

The third weekend, in late Spring, gives an opportunity for each trainee to reflect on their mission during a personal review session with the Mission Co-ordinator and a member of the Task Group. There are also some additional training workshops scheduled for this residential weekend.
