The majority of iMPACT work involves running missions throughout the summer. Each iMPACT team will run a mission for a week or fortnight in partnership with a local Church of Scotland. The partnership is designed to last for three or four summers, during which time the congregation can gain experience and confidence in mission. In this way it is hoped that mission activities can be sustainable so that the team can move on to work with a new church location, whilst the host church can continue with it's own mission activities. There are a good number of churches around Scotland who have continued to run missions in this way because of previous partnership with iMPACT teams. iMPACT is also piloting another approach to working with churches to reach out to young people. This is our Youth-club Planting scheme. This model entails a small Team working in partnership with your church, one night a month over a year, in order to establish a youth club/café/fellowship etc. We have recently had 2 pilot projects running in Robroyston and Mearns Parish Kirk. |

There are many churches in Scotland who run their own mission or holiday club activities during the summer and find it useful to be affiliated to iMPACT. This can help churches in a number of ways:
For some home run summer missions, churches find that just "being part of something bigger” is of encouragement and benefit to them. |

iMPACT is also involved in mission activities out with the summer period. Often in the Autumn term iMPACT will engage in running a High School mission in partnership with a local church. During a High School mission a team of experienced volunteers will engage in a wide variety of activities. A typical week in a secondary school could combine any number of the following activities: assemblies, R.E. classes, P.S.E. classes, lunch time groups, after school groups, evening concerts, and being involved in any manner of subject lessons from drama and music to sport. iMPACT is always seeking to provide support or involvement with other mission activities that may be running around the year across Scotland. |
