missions resources CORE action groups forms impact diary mission leader's training programme

The volunteers are the most valuable resource iMPACT has. People come from all walks of life but have a common commitment to God. Volunteers are both ordinary and extraordinary people. They are ordinary in that they think of themselves as regular Christians - just like anyone else. But they are extraordinary in that they are prepared to give of their time and efforts to do the work of God. They are ready to take risks and are willing to work outside of their comfort zone. They love working with kids and teenagers and are driven by a desire to share their faith and experience of God's love.

It's a complete myth that you need to be a sunday school teacher, or youth worker, or gifted evangelist to go on a mission team. iMPACT teams are open to all who love God and want others to know that love for themselves. It is particularly popular with young people and early twenties although there are a number of older folks staying on in teams.

iMPACT believes that the church exists to demonstrate God's love. iMPACT teams focus on the on children and young people in Scotland who don't know God's love. Our missions emphasise relationships between team members and young people, and ultimately between each of us and Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian who is ready to use your faith rather than just possess it; if you enjoy working with children and young people; and if you're willing to step out of your usual comfort zone within the fellowship of a team Christian, then iMPACT is for you.
